Working with idioms
•      Explain that the task is to complete the
sentences with the right word so that it forms
an idiom.
•      Ss complete the task individually using their
dictionaries if they wish.
•      Check Ss' answers and ask if there are similar
idioms in their language.
•      As an extension ask Ss to choose an idiom and
draw a picture to illustrate its meaning. In
groups, Ss swap papers and guess which idiom
the drawing illustrates.
