University life at Oxford University is
pleasant. I spend a lot of time on campus
attending lectures, studying in the library or
having meals in the college dining hall. I meet
my friends in the Student Union when I don’t
have essays to write or exams to prepare for!
Although I only have to attend ten hours of
formal lectures every week, I keep fairly busy.
There are also seminars and tutorials to
attend, private research to do and essay
deadlines to meet.
I live in student halls. This is good because you
get to meet a lot of different people and we
have formal dinners together in the college
dining hall. But next year I’d like to live in a
student house with my friends.
I get on well with my teachers, especially my
tutor as we meet one-to-one and discuss
everything together.
There are plenty of after-school activities to
get involved in. You can join the university
newspaper, drama club or canoeing club, just
to mention a few. There are always parties you
can go to - or concerts. I like to just hang out
with my friends or go and see a band. The
social life is very good - I especially like the
theme nights at the Student Union.
