a)     What colours are the flags below? How are they related to the map?

The United Kingdom
Country: The United Kingdom includes England,
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Capital: London is the capital of the UK but also
the capital of England. Cardiff is the capital of
Wales, Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and
Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland.
Flag: The Union Jack includes the flags of England
and Scotland as well as the old flag of Ireland. Each
country has its own flag as well as the Union Jack.
