I live in Moscow. Moscow was founded in 1147 by Yuri Dolgoruky. Now
Moscow is a very big and beautiful city. It is one of the largest cities in the
world Eight million people live and work here.
There arc many interesting places in Moscow: different museums, theatres
and cinemas. If you are in Moscow for the first time, you must visit the
Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. It is the largest museum in Moscow I think
it is the most beautiful museum, too. You can meet people from all over
the world in this museum. There arc many famous theatres in Moscow.
The Bolshoy Theatre is one of them. It is the best theatre in Moscow.
There are many different cinemas m Moscow. You should visit Moscow
churches. Moscow is famous for its beautiful churches. If you are not a
Christian, you can just look at them. Many churches in Moscow are made
of white stone. They are beautiful and very old. Of course, you should
visit Red Square. It is the main square in my city. It is called «Red» be-
cause it is very beautiful.
There are many streets in Moscow. Tverskaya Street is the main street in
the city. Life never stops in this street. There are many shops and cafes in
Tverskaya.
Moscow is famous for its shops. In Moscow’s shops you can find every-
thing: toys and furniture, clothes and food. The GUM is the main Russian
supermarket. Everything is very expensive there.
There are many parks in Moscow: Alexandrovsky Garden, Gorky Park, Lu-
jniki Park. They are very large. There are many big and old trees in these
parks. Moscow people have a very good time there on hot summer days.
I think I live in a wonderful city. I like it very much. It’s beautiful, inter-
esting and famous all over the world. People who live in Moscow are
rather clever and I like them.
