•      Play the recording for Ss. Ss read and listen to
the text.
•      Draw Ss' attention to the headings given. Allow
Ss time to make their notes.
•       In small groups Ss take it in turns to talk about
Florence Nightingale.
•      Ask Ss how important they think Florence
Nightingale's work was. Give Ss exactly three
minutes to write on the topic.
•      Select a few Ss to read their writing to the
class. Follow up with a whole-class discussion.
